Primeval Forest
The Primeval Forest series explores the interaction between trees and sunlight in the ancient forests of western Washington and Oregon. These old growth forests consist of a multileveled canopy of older and younger trees, snags, and downed trees that store water and nutrients that are released as the log decays. These “mother” logs create a forest floor nursery for the next generation of trees.
The Prineval Forest series, which is under development, currently includes 24 inch square oil paintings on cradled panels and stretched canvas.
